Approaching the conclusion of Nephilim Quest #5
(after being occupied with family matters for a while)
For those of you eagerly awaiting my newsletter (fingers crossed), the moment has arrived...
I receive newsletters daily myself, and to be honest, it's starting to feel a bit overwhelming. According to some marketing experts, you're supposed to send emails every day to your readers, but is that really necessary?
Do I have anything meaningful to share with you every day, even when I don’t seem to find the words for myself? In the past, I've tried keeping a diary, but life often gets in the way.
These days, I casually jot down some brief sentences in my planner without putting too much pressure on myself. Not profound musings, but simply a record of what I did and how many words I wrote for my book.
I wanted to write sooner, but life has been hectic. My mother's Parkinsons had gotten too severe for her to live at home, but we finally found a 24/7 care facility for her. It's a huge relief for us all, and it frees up more time and energy to focus on other things. We no longer have to constantly worry about her well-being since she has round-the-clock care and her own private room - where she can continue working on her doctoral thesis for Helsinki University's Faculty of Law at the impressive age of 85. We are all rooting for her to finish her work. Now, we just need to bring in her furniture, computer, paintings, decorations, and plants to make her room feel like home. The best part is that the facility is only a 20-minute walk from our house, making visiting easy.
Now, returning to the topic of this newsletter: Chapter 19. The Strange Language of Nephilim Quest #1 is now published in Substack. You should have received a link to it (but here it is again just in case) and more chapters will be published soon. Both in writing and in audio.
I'm currently working on Chapter 76 of Nephilim Quest #5. Angel and Cain tried to take over the storyline, but if I had let them, it would have extended into a sixth book. I had to dedicate two chapters to get them back on track with our time walker team's mission to locate the Watchers before the dark Nephilim do. To add some intrigue, an unexpected character made an appearance; for once, I had actually planned this in advance (imagine that!). Usually, these surprise guests pop up like a jack-in-the-box. (In honor of Halloween, here is a creepy picture...)
The upcoming chapter will put their entire mission at risk. I've been eagerly anticipating this moment to start writing it.
The story has been moving along, and I've dedicated time every day to work on it, with the goal of completing it soon. I'll make sure to keep you updated!
A reader lives a thousand lives!
Leena :)
