Phew. Been building my own bookstore.

Hi, Peeps!

Sorry for the weeks of silence. I have been plodding my way through techie stuff of creating my bookstore at Shopify. As I am no techie geek, it has been slow going… One day I spent a whole free day figuring out how on earth do I hide a onetime freebie offer so it cannot be “bought” from my store. Finally, a kind soul (another author) advised how it was done. Thank goodness for good people…

Then I went through another nerve-wrecking phase and tried to wrap my mind around Facebook advertising without having to pay an arm and a leg because of inadvertent mistakes. Here’s one example of my ads.

And why did I do this? I have heard so many horror stories on how the great ‘Zon has disabled writers’ sales pages without explanation or decided they won’t pay royalties as they became suspicious when someone suddenly sold a lot of books. So I decided the time had come for me to make sure I had one bookstore functioning that I was sure would keep on existing. Namely, my own. At the moment I have only uploaded my Nephilim Quest -books 1-3 there, the 4th is being edited and not yet published. More will follow.

And returning to the hiding of the freebie: I made a onetime offer for those who saw my Facebook ad. I gave them the first book of the Nephilim Quest-series for free. And once they have signed up, they get the next two books with a 50% discount.
