We have this tradition called Knit ‘n’ Tag here in Turku. Not our invention, I think the event came to us from Helsinki. The idea is to decorate the old common lime trees by the river Aura with crocheted decorations. The first Knit ‘n’ Tag in Turku took place in 2013. I took this picture this year. Some trees are from 1830. They were planted three years after the great fire that destroyed the entire city. It was such a catastrophe it was reported in newspapers around Europe.
I noticed I sent the Death of a Vampire Chapter 2 /Engaged to a Vampire to you by email, when I intended to post it on my newsletter page only. The idea was to link to it from this newsletter, so you can choose if you wish to check it out. Not everyone loves stories of the fanged folk. However, f your email provider dropped the vampire’s bride into the trash against your wishes, despair not. You can listen / read the chapter by CLICKING HERE.
Thought for the Day
What do we really see in others?
We are often quick to point out the faults of another person. If you have ever heard the term “mirroring”, you know these are often our own faults we are blind to. A habit or trait in another person who annoys us is often something we cannot tolerate in ourselves.
The next time you notice someone push your buttons, observe yourself. Are you perhaps mirroring something in yourself into others?
A little laughter
One day, I saw a mother and her little son of about 3 years of age at a local mall. The mother was pointing at a big flowerpot.
“Look! Can you see that?” she asked.
I could see what she was pointing. A little spider was weaving a net between two leaves. The little boy smiled from ear to ear, clapped his hands and yelled: “Spiderman!”
Quote for the day
